OPINION — This is in response to the writer enthralled with the One Big Beautiful Bill. I didn’t get a penny off my taxes; I checked with my accountant. And, it is temporary, as the reduction ends in two years.

OPINION — I am amazed at the many, many campaign signs Andy Biggs has had on most every Surprise-area street corner, even three or four on some corners. I saw a flashing neon billboard sign for him in Sun City on Grand Avenue. I get a kick out of his “Biggs will fix it” signs. He sure will fix it and in any way his leader King Trump wishes!

Most commercial quantities of solar power come from two kinds of installations. They are: 1.) rooftop solar panels on homes or businesses or in businesses’ parking lots; and 2.) “farms” with large arrays built on acreage amounts of land.

OPINION — I have volunteered in elections since the 1960s. There is one truth: honest people make honest elections. The government can “modernize” and spend millions of our tax dollars, but only honest people can give us fair elections. It’s priceless and costs us no tax dollars.

OPINION — As a former Tempe City Council member and small-business owner, I’ve spent years listening to families, first responders and local employers talk about what they need to succeed in our city. It always comes back to the same basics: safe neighborhoods and ways to get around that work.
That’s why I strongly support Proposition 424.
