Why Republican candidates won’t get my vote in November

Corporate tax cuts, treatment of immigrants, Iran war, disputes with allies among Sun City West resident’s reasons

OPINION — The Republican Party wants to cut taxes even more for corporations, use our taxes to house and care for thousands of immigrants whose only crime was to come here to get away from gangs, cartels and tyrant dictators, imprison our immigrant population without giving them a chance to go to court to defend themselves, and to use our taxes to pay for weapons to bomb Iran instead of helping Ukraine.

Our current Republican-led government is also more friendly with dictators like North Korea and Russia than Democratic leaders like England or Canada. Our current Republican Congress let our Republican president destroy free trade agreements and slam tariffs on even our allies that in my opinion are destroying our economy.

We were finally pulling out of COVID-caused inflation under our Democratic leaders just like our Democratic leaders have pulled us out of every other Republican-led economic disaster. Think the Great Recession and the Depression before that.

So, I don’t care how wonderful a candidate sounds this upcoming election. If they are Republican, they will not get my vote.
