Where is conservative outrage over high prices?

OPINION — If you’ve visited the grocery store or gas station lately,  you’ve probably noticed the continual increase in prices. Diesel is at the highest price in history. Almost everything we buy is transported by trucks that use diesel.

This drives up the cost of everything.

My question for my right-wing, conservative neighbors is this: Where is the outrage? They were so vocal when prices rose during the Biden administration, but now they’re noticeably silent when prices during the Trump administration have jumped even higher.

Apparently, they don’t mind paying higher prices now as long as their guy is in power. Our higher prices are a direct reflection of war in Iran and unconstitutional tariffs.

This administration starts trade wars with our allies and friends, while doing very little to confront authoritarian regimes like Russia. At the same time masked ICE agents roam our country, indiscriminately detaining individuals without warrants or due process. Many of those being detained turn out to be American citizens or legal permanent residents — not criminals. The only common denominator seems to be that they are almost always people of color.

When are my conservative neighbors going to stand up like the patriots they claim to be, and start holding their leaders accountable?

Maybe they never really believed in American democracy. Maybe what they wanted all along was just an America where certain types of individuals are more equal than others.
