Thomasson a ‘perfect blend’ for Paradise Valley council

OPINION — I write this letter to wholeheartedly endorse Mrs. Anna Thomasson for Paradise Valley Town Council.

We are lucky that, with this unpaid position for council which takes a significant amount of time, Mrs. Thomasson is willing to serve another term.  She has been such a selfless town servant, it will be a tremendous win for us to have her continued effort and energy on our council. I have seen her professional experience, deeply principled moral compass and strong commitment to our community as she has served on our council, including her term as vice mayor.

She and I both share strong fiscal conservative values and have met several times to discuss the budget in detail. She has solicited my opinion and comes to our meetings very well prepared, having reviewed every line item of the budget, analyzed the budget-to-actual spend and considered the five- to six-year spending trend. Not only is she relentless in her call for transparency and reduced spending, but she is relentless in her preparation. 

Additionally, Mrs. Thomasson is a council member who returns calls and votes the way she says she will vote. She mirrors the fiscal conservative nature of the residents in our town, while supporting the town’s staff and all of their efforts. She is a tremendous professional with many years as a Fortune 500 company consultant.

I  believe Mrs. Thomasson is the perfect blend of a kind and authentic person, great listener, self-thinker and, most importantly, understands that our town doesn’t preserve itself – it’s up to us to make it happen.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our council candidates, and just vote for who you know will do a great job. I will vote for Mrs. Anna Thomasson and hope you will, too!
