There are better immigration solutions than ICE

Sun City West reader likes Hillary Clinton’s idea of creating legal ports of entry, hiring more judges, processors

OPINION — I disagree with Ron Moe, who recently disagreed with me and others regarding ICE as an immigration solution.

Instead of taxpayers paying to house and literally store immigrants, how about we go with the sustainable idea proposed by Hillary Clinton when she ran for president? She said she’d create legal ports of entry.

Instead of paying $100,000 a month to roving agents, she’d hire judges and processors to quickly process any immigrant coming into the country, sorting out the potential workers from those who have criminal records.

Legal ports of entry are why we are here today, with the exception of Native Americans and descendants of early American slaves. My solution is to pay for legal ports of entry, so people like Einstein and even First Lady Melania Trump can live here in peace.
