Sun City West reader supports Surprise ICE facility

OPINION — I would like to respond to the writer of the letter, Why I’m no longer spending money in Surprise, published in the Independent. The letter-writer objects to the proposed ICE facility, calling it a “concentration camp.”

The truth, in my opinion, is that the ICE detainees that are to be housed there temporarily until they can be deported back to their home countries will be treated better than some hardworking-Americans are.

They are given menus for three meals a day, they have clean bedding, recreational facilities, medical care, legal services, etc.

They came into our country thanks to Joe Biden. They committed a crime by just walking in, but also included amongst the inmates are rapists, murderers, pedophiles, gang members, terrorists, and drug and sex traffickers!

Do we really want these people in our country? I don’t! Perhaps the letter-writer would volunteer to take some of them into his/her home and support them?

God bless America and God bless the ICE agents who face danger every day in their jobs.
