Sun City West reader lauds insightful opinions

OPINION — It was good to see some rational commentary in the last edition of the Sun City West Independent. As citizens of the world’s most powerful democracy, it is our duty to be aware of what’s really going on because of the power of our vote. We can change direction. I appreciate Mike Kapic's insightful comments on our national debt crisis and that solutions lie with those who we vote into office.

Thomas Richard’s scorecard on those in power failing in truth, ethics, compassion and respect cries for a need to change direction.

Everything, including food and gas, costs more than ever. The U.S. is no longer respected by our friends and foes alike. After entering a war that costs us billions of dollars and is depleting our warfare reserves, we are now treating Canada no better than our rivals of authoritarian regimes.

Let’s stand up for democracy and vote for change and make sure every vote is delivered and counted.
