Surprise mayor’s schools job scrutinized over ICE issue

“I’m so glad we have a great mayor in our city that doesn’t kneel to politics, but approaches his job analytically to make the best decisions for the city and the safety of Dysart School District..” — Raymond G.

“High school students have been indoctrinated to oppose ICE. Is it any wonder that a recent grad would advocate for the mayor’s removal because of a perceived stance on the ICE facility?” — Dave E.

“Bring on the ICE facility. Need to keep things in check.” — Kent Y.

“I think the majority of people are in favor of the ICE facility.” — Dale B.

“How long are we going to blame Biden? Does Trump take responsibility for his presidency that is going on right now?” — Reuben D.

“It is pretty obvious that the community doesn’t care about the chemical building there. That to me should be of way more concern about safety than an ICE facility.” — Allen H.

“You know I prefer that my school district keep their disaster safety plans under wraps and not publicly post them or make them subject to a public records request by holding them in an open council session.” — Amy H.

“I am very disappointed you ran this story. This high school student does not yet understand how the real world works. She is attacking a man who serves his community and provides for his family. He does a great job at both.” — Lisa E.

“How many illegal immigrants have escaped from ICE detention? Zero This is a non-issue.” — Frank K.

“Like most rags the Surprise Independent is a liberal rag. The articles they publish are left leaning always. This is one reason newspapers are not being read and most are in financial trouble.” — Raymond K.

“City council and city manager make 98% of the real decisions. You’re barking up the wrong tree.” — Tim M.

“Elect a clown get a circus.” — Sam C.
