Scottsdale bond supports our schools’ future

Posted

OPINION — As long-time champions of the Scottsdale Unified School District and co-chairs of Yes to Children, we urge you to join us in voting yes on the SUSD bond. A yes vote invests in our students, our schools and our community.

Voting yes will ensure every student learns in a safe environment while improving facilities to keep SUSD one of Arizona's highest-performing districts. Renovating aging infrastructure will reduce costly repairs and maintenance, making this a wise investment of taxpayer funds. Join us to protect our community's investment in neighborhood schools and equip students with the tools they need to succeed in college, careers and beyond.

Our schools cannot afford to wait. School facilities and infrastructure are showing significant signs of age, and the cost of repairs continues to rise. Scottsdale Unified School Districts high schools have not received a major capital investment in almost two decades. Investing now will improve campus safety, modernize technology, repair aging infrastructure and ensure our schools meet future educational standards.
