Reader: Dems spend too much time going after Trump

Sun City West resident: As long as U.S. has secure elections, country will survive

OPINION — Response to Why Republican candidates won’t get my vote in November: The Trump administration wants to lower corporate tax rate from 21% to 15% for domestic manufacturers only, while excluding companies that outsource or offshore jobs.

The care for illegal immigrants by the federal government is temporary until they are deported. Immigration to our country is important, but it must be under a controlled fashion, and not haphazardly.

Iran wants to have nuclear weapons. The controlling clerics believe it is their religious duty to destroy Israel and the United States. They want to build up a ballistic missile program to defend any nuclear capability, and control the Middle East by threat of military force.
Ukraine is mostly a European problem, and they are taking the lead with the help from the U.S.

I believe Canada has been working with China to get around U.S. tariffs on China and Mexico is doing the same thing.

The inflation caused by COVID-19 was, in part, due to the vast amount of waste, fraud and abuse of federal tax revenue, in my opinion.

What’s the alternative? Here’s what I think: Democratic socialists are becoming more powerful in their party, and the only difference between democratic socialists and communists is how they come to power. In my opinion, the Democratic party has spent too much time going after Donald Trump, without much success.

Discussion is good, and voting is better. As long as we can ensure secure elections, we will survive. But we cannot let down our guard, as there are forces who want to destroy our way of life, here and abroad.
