OPINION — This election will determine whether Fountain Hills continues its tradition of fiscal responsibility and common-sense leadership or moves in a very different direction.
I am proud to offer my strongest recommendation and enthusiastic support for Mayor Gerry Friedel and town council candidates Ben Larrabee, Matt Corrigan and Dan Kovacevic.
Fountain Hills is fortunate to have a team of proven leaders who understand what makes our community special and have consistently put residents first. Their focus is on the issues that matter most: fiscal responsibility, public safety, economic vitality, infrastructure and preserving the quality of life that makes Fountain Hills such a desirable place to live.
One of the clearest differences in this election is the approach to local government. Gerry Friedel, Ben Larrabee, Matt Corrigan and Dan Kovacevic understand that every dollar spent by the town ultimately comes from taxpayers. Their focus is on core municipal responsibilities and practical solutions that benefit residents.
By contrast, some candidates support a broader vision of government that could lead to additional programs, initiatives and spending commitments. While reasonable people may disagree on those priorities, I believe Fountain Hills is best served by leaders who exercise fiscal restraint, carefully evaluate new spending and keep taxes and government growth in check.
These are not candidates learning on the job. They bring real-world experience, sound judgment, strong leadership and a genuine commitment to serving the community. Their record reflects responsible budgeting, accountability and common-sense decision-making.
One important reminder: there are three town council seats open, and voters may select up to three candidates. Be sure to vote for this Fountain Hills First Team: Ben Larrabee, Matt Corrigan and Dan Kovacevic, along with Mayor Gerry Friedel.
They have earned my highest recommendation, and I encourage residents to support this outstanding team and keep Fountain Hills moving in the right direction.
