Peoria reader: My values align with Rep. Hamadeh’s

OPINION — My most cherished freedom is the freedom to openly serve my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Next is my freedom to vote, a right that gives each of us a voice in the direction of our nation. This election requires each of us to exercise that freedom and choose leaders who will stand for the principles we believe in.

I can make sacrifices and work harder during difficult economic times, but the security of our country matters most. I have seen firsthand how open borders and far-left policies have affected my community and increased concerns about safety and violent crime. That is why I will vote to reelect Abraham J. Hamadeh. His values align with mine.

I come from a military family, so Abe’s service as a U.S. Army Reserve captain and intelligence officer is especially meaningful to me. He also served as a Maricopa County prosecutor, working to protect our streets. He has the character, integrity and determination needed to continue representing Arizona in Washington and putting America first.

Abe’s life as a first-generation American demonstrates what hard work can achieve. We should welcome those who want to pursue the American dream through legal entry, while maintaining secure borders and protecting our nation.

Abe will protect the unborn, defend fairness in youth sports and safeguard the freedom to worship. My wife and I are proud to support him. Although we do not know him personally, our shared values make him feel like a friend who would always be welcome in our home.

Please exercise your freedom to vote and support Abraham J. Hamadeh for reelection.

Rep. Abe Hamadeh is running for reelection in Congressional District 8, which includes parts of Glendale, Peoria, north Phoenix, Sun City, Sun City West and Surprise. Please submit comments at yourvalley.net/letters or email them to AzOpinions@iniusa.org. We are committed to publishing a wide variety of reader opinions, as long as they meet our Civility Guidelines.
