Paradise Valley needs Bill Nassikas on council

Posted

OPINION — I have served our town as Planning commissioner, council member and mayor, and almost every land use decision before the council involved resorts. Density, viability, for-sale residential units and compatibility with established neighborhoods are all important considerations. And resort tax revenue (bed taxes, sales taxes) is a major source of revenue for the town.

That's why I'm supporting Bill Nassikas for town council member in this summer's election. Bill has exceptional experience and understanding of how resorts are a vital part of our community. Future issues such as the Smoke Tree development, the stalled Ritz-Carlton, El Chorro Lodge and potential requests for the Kimpton (old Scottsdale Plaza), to name a few, will all need careful attention.

That’s why we need Bill Nassikas and his hospitality experience on our town council. He can analyze new requests and make a meaningful contribution to the town in the form of practical resort knowledge and application that fits our town's General Plan.

Bill would be an excellent addition to our council. Ballots are in the mail, so please join me in voting for Bill Nassikas.
