Lopsided compassion or self-reliance?
OPINION — As illegal aliens were sold; America, the land of milk and honey, owes them everything for nothing but crashing across the border.
Filled with a suicidal empathy, progressives that see lopsided compassion as redemption for their offenses will hide inside their walls and allow mobs of immigrants, some that are violent criminals, and give immigrants a path to take what they can take.
Progressive politicians (Mamdani/Sanders/AOC/Omar) favor a socialist state that doesn’t require them to be successful entrepreneurs or effective business people. Socialist rhetoric sounds empathetic by promising “giveaways” (free healthcare) they can’t deliver. Broken promises erupt into civil unrest; progressive socialist avoid accountability by blaming the same “establishment” they use to finance the lifestyles they are enjoying.
Disenchanted liberals trust socialist leaders’ promises that they will deliver them happiness and comfort paid for by somebody else. The redistribution of wealth is the illusion socialist’s claim to be the utopian remedy. Modern civilization depends on a thriving open marketplace to flourish; communal utopia’s can’t be sustained.
Younger adults with little to lose are taught to believe they are victims of “the establishment.” Progressive activists believe that it is just to fight “the establishment” that is feeding them.
Responsible young adults progress through life: they earn a living, get married, raise a family, buy a home, gather assets and adopt a stable lifestyle. The conservative progression of family self-reliance is healthy.
Mixing hyper-sensitive lifestyle choices and economic status into political campaigns will always create civil confrontations. Social media is the megaphone that can play a big part in aggravating the widening sensitivity gap between conservatives and progressive liberals. Progressive protesters are being influenced to transform into angry activist that are emotionally edgy, harsh, hostile, combative or can be steered into rage and violence.
Alternatives: progressive lopsided compassion or conservative self-reliance?
