OPINION — Thank you, Fountain Hills. With 99% reporting [as of this writing], I am honored and grateful to be elected to the Fountain Hills Town Council.
Thank you to my wife and family, to all donors and supporters, and the volunteers knocking on doors and spreading our message in the 110-degree heat. Special congratulations and thank you to Mayor Gerry Friedel for leading the way.
Congratulations to my running mates on the ticket, Matt Corrigan and Ben Larrabee. I look forward to working together in the new term with thoughtful, practical discussions that lead to realistic solutions.
To Susan DeGennaro, Catherine Mirick and Jeff Tate, thank you for stepping into the arena to serve. Running for office is hard on families. You have my respect, and the town is better for your willingness to run.
To the residents that voted for me, thank you for your trust. To those that did not, I will work over the next four years to earn that trust.
My focus on council will be straightforward. Require fair but meaningful developer contributions with Planned Area Developments, sunset provisions on entitlements, fix our roads and encourage growth consistent with preserving the quality of life that brought us here.
Thank you again, Fountain Hills.
