Leadership Fountain Hills can trust

Posted

OPINION — As the upcoming primary election approaches, we face an important choice regarding the future direction of our community. We need common-sense, experienced leadership that prioritizes fiscal accountability, protects our unique small-town character and focuses on core municipal responsibilities.

That is why I am voting to reelect Mayor Gerry Friedel and elect Dan Kovacevic, Matt Corrigan and Ben Larrabee to the town council.

This unified team shares a clear, practical vision for Fountain Hills. From reviewing their platforms and campaign literature, it is evident that they believe in a town government that works directly for its residents, not one that adds unnecessary burdens. When elected, they are committed to taking immediate action on several critical fronts:

  • Fiscal responsibility and infrastructure: They will tackle key capital improvement projects, with a strong focus on accelerating essential road repairs and maintaining our iconic town assets — all by slashing wasteful spending and maximizing budget efficiencies without raising taxes.
  • Smart, thoughtful development: Drawing on real-world real estate and planning experience, they will advocate for smart growth. This means opposing high-density housing that threatens our community’s charm, while ensuring any new development projects actively contribute to our local infrastructure and support small businesses.
  • Public safety: They are dedicated to fully supporting our essential law enforcement and community policing models, ensuring Fountain Hills remains one of the safest places to live and raise a family.

These candidates offer the right mix of professional background, sound financial judgment and genuine dedication. They represent a clear path forward focused on transparency, civility and a thriving community. Please join me in voting for Mayor Gerry Friedel, Dan Kovacevic, Matt Corrigan and Ben Larrabee.
