Kimble, Cancio have earned AJ school board reelection

As Election Day Approaches

To allow candidates the right to respond to criticisms about their candidacy before Election Day, the last day Independent Newsmedia will publish new election-related letters in our weekly print editions is Oct. 21, and the last day they will publish online is Oct. 27. Candidates may submit a 150-word reply addressing criticisms only and should email them to AzOpinions@iniusa.org along with their name, address, contact number and the headline of the letter they’re addressing.

OPINION — I have worked with Dena Kimble for almost four years on the Apache Junction Unified School District Governing Board. I also served with Gil Cancio for two years on the board.

I have never met a more dedicated, hard working and passionate woman than Ms. Kimble. Her full focus is on opportunities for the students of AJUSD. She has already given 12 years of her life to the board and wants another term.

Her motives are totally selfless. She just wants AJUSD students to have the best education that will afford them maximum career opportunities upon graduation.

Mr. Cancio is dedicated to maximizing opportunities for all students at AJUSD. Being from a military background, he is a big supporter of Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps. Mr. Cancio worked to get the state’s School Facilities Board to reimburse AJUSD for long overdue repair projects.

Ms. Kimble and Mr. Cancio will vote to have only biological girls in girls sports and only American flags in our classrooms. I believe these are core values most people can agree on.

I will be voting for Ms. Kimble and Mr. Cancio for the Apache Junction Unified School District school board.
