Gilbert requires strong, solutions-oriented leadership

Posted

OPINION — I am a proven business leader, a dedicated community advocate, and a proud resident of Gilbert. With a career defined by pragmatic problem-solving and a deep commitment to regional economic vitality, I am running to bring a data-driven, business-minded approach to our local government. I understand that as the Valley experiences unprecedented growth, strong and solutions-oriented leadership is required to ensure our community remains a premier destination to live, work, and invest.

Professionally, I serve as the president and managing partner of TruNorth Advisors, a strategic advisory firm I founded in 2020. Based right here in Gilbert, my firm focuses on delivering actionable insights to help businesses navigate complex markets and achieve sustainable growth. My executive experience spans well over a decade, having previously served as the chief digital officer at Commit Agency and president of The Digital Intelligence Agency. Throughout my career, I have built teams, balanced complex budgets, and structured agreements that drive bottom-line results. My dedication to local enterprise was recognized when I was named Gilbert's Business Owner of the Year in 2015, a milestone that underscores my enduring commitment to our local economy.

My educational foundation was built at Colorado State and Regis College in Denver, where I developed the critical analytical skills that guide my executive approach. I have consistently leveraged this background not just in the private sector, but in my extensive civic involvement. Driven by a desire to elevate the cultural and economic landscape of the region, I serve on the Board of Trustees for the Phoenix Art Museum, having previously served as president of the Men's Arts Council to secure vital financial endowments. Furthermore, I have dedicated time to supporting returning soldiers as a coordinator for the SEAKR Foundation.

Locally, my work on the Town of Gilbert FORGE committee and my 2024 run for the Arizona State Legislature have allowed me to build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including the Chamber of Commerce, mayors, and city council members. I am also actively engaged with the expanding technological sectors in our state, moderating discussions surrounding the booming chip manufacturing industry and its impact on our local workforce.

At home, my wife, Melissa, and I have raised two adult children, Isabella and Ethan, who is serving as a cadet at West Point. Rounding out our family are our two beloved dogs, Louie and Lizzie. Raising my family in the Valley has made me acutely aware of the challenges the next generation faces, reinforcing my dedication to fostering an environment where young professionals can thrive and plant their own roots.

I am running for office to move Gilbert forward through clear priorities and honest leadership. My campaign is grounded in accountability, practicality, and building trust between leaders and the community. By focusing on protecting public safety, addressing water and infrastructure realities, and bolstering the local economy, I am fully committed to making responsible decisions that support long-term stability and ensure our town is fully prepared for the challenges ahead.
