OPINION — Regarding Following the money: how Arizona pays for public school students and other articles written by Stacy Mantle: they are missing one major angle … “compared to what?”
Whenever you are writing articles about Arizona funding or public education resources, there needs to be a reference to a similar state. Without comparisons to other states, the reader just sees money in large quantities and doesn’t put context to it.
Therefore, the writing piece comes across as propaganda and not solutions, in my opinion. I believe that whenever a writer creates articles for newspapers in Arizona, it always has to be “compared to what?” to be a helpful piece.
