Don’t vote for Matt Orlando for mayor

OPINION — As a long time resident of Chandler, I think it’s important to point out when history seems to be repeating itself.

Twenty years ago, Matt Orlando and his cronies pushed out a great city manager. The way they treated staff in public was horrible.

Just go look at the video of the night they forced out the city manager. That same city manager wa rehired after Matt and his buddies lost their majority on Council.

It got so bad, several chandler citizens felt the need to attempt a recall of Orlando.

Unfortunately, it seems like Matt is up to his old tricks. In the last year, the city manager, the city attorney, the city clerk, a deputy city manager and multiple department heads have quit or retired.

This is unprecedented in Chandler’s history. The amount of institutional knowledge the city lost is immeasurable.

Matt Orlando is up to his old tricks.  Please don’t let him destroy the city we love.
