Daran Wastchak is a good choice for Paradise Valley Town Council

OPINION — I joined the Paradise Valley Men’s Breakfast Group several years ago. It is a group of Paradise Valley men (and some women on the Town Council or guests) who meet monthly on an informal basis and share a common interest in what is going on in the town.

Daran Wastchak was asked to take over the lead of this group a couple of years ago. He acts somewhat like a moderator as the mayor and town council or other guests provide updates and answer questions from the group. Daran’s leadership has been impressive, not only by consistently arranging the meetings and invitations, but identifying interesting topics and leading discussions with an even hand. 

At the recent Eagle Society candidate forum, Daran showed he was well informed on many issues related to our town, and clearly shared his thoughts with the audience.

We have many good choices for town council, and my own experiences with Daran have been very positive. I don’t know every issue that Daran may or may not support during his term, but I know he would be a well prepared and thoughtful addition to our town council.
