OPINION — With the rising temperatures and deep division in our community, it's even more important to keep an eye out for our senior citizens, disabled and marginalized community members.

Be a concerned and engaged person. Reach out to the MSCO to perform a wellness check. These checks include our furry friends, who sometimes are forgotten in the summer heat.

The Maricopa County Sherriff's Office performs wellness checks.
