Bob Brown and Anna Thomasson have what Paradise Valley needs

Posted

OPINION — When voting in the upcoming elections for members of the town council, it is important to choose people with track records of success that show leadership. Straight shooters with strong character who deliver results, not just attend meetings.

That is why my wife, Carol, and I are voting for Bob Brown and Anna Thomasson. We don't just guess at their character; we have known them for years and we know it.

As a police volunteer for 18 years, I worked with Bob for nearly a decade. He was, and is, highly respected throughout the department. He is in his third year of service on the Planning Commission. And his success in the private sector is well known, building and running his community management company for many years. I was one of his customers.

Anna also had a very successful career in business as a management consultant, working with Fortune 500 companies; a tough job requiring long, long hours and enormous energy.  During her eight years on the town council, she has proven herself, time and again, to have studied the issues and acted with knowledge, integrity and tact.

Both are sharp business professionals, now retired, who have a deep love for this town. Most importantly, they know how to work with people, tone down the useless rhetoric and get things done.

Neither candidate has an outside agenda or other political aspirations. Their only focus is on the residents of Paradise Valley. We need leaders with the backbone to protect our public safety, fiscal discipline, low-density zoning and unique way of life. Bob Brown and Anna Thomasson meet that need.

They have earned our vote, and they deserve yours.
