Arizona’s health care system needs to improve

Posted

OPINION — I pray to God something improves with our health care system.

My husband is dead and gone because the health care system here in Arizona failed him. I called 911 because my husband had fallen a couple of times. He didn’t need to die four weeks later – he had low sodium and low electrolytes. I thought they’d give him an IV and I’d take him home in a couple of days. He ended up getting sepsis, sending him to a rehab, bringing him back to the hospital and back to rehab.

It was absolutely horrible. I still have nightmares about it. He’s been gone three and a half months.

Please do something about our health care system. I pray to God I never have to go to the ER. I felt angry and frustrated. Most of the time I didn’t feel like anybody was helping me or certainly helping my husband.
